M1 Pacific Motorway
J&G Excavations & Asphalting (NSW) Pty Ltd were engaged by Transport for NSW to mill and resheet southbound on the M1 Pacific Motorway at Wahroonga. Works involved coordination with TfNSW, TMC and NorthConnex to ensure traffic disruption was keep to a minimum but also delivering the project on time and within the budget. Asphalt works covered over 1.2km of road to accommodate a new lane added to increase traffic flow.
Macquarie University, Balaclava Road Conversion
J&G Excavations and Asphalting NSW P/L were successful in tendering for the Balaclava Road Upgrade in 2020. After a few delays with commencing due to COVID and supply of materials, construction commenced in July 2022 and took approximately 6 months to complete with a strong focus to minimise disruption to Macquarie University students. There were also several key stakeholders that played a pivotal role in delivering this project such City of Ryde Council, TfNSW Buses and a nearby nursing home. The projects’ purpose was to ease vehicle and pedestrian congestion into the university campus and ultimately creating a safer environment to be used by the public. Civil works included a 4.Sm shared path, sandstone retaining wall, raised pedestrian crossing and new pavement.
Glengarrie Road, Marsden Park Upgrade
The Glengarrie Road reconstruction spanned 650m from South St, Marsden Park to the new estate in Elara. This reconstruction consisted of road widening from one lane to four and adding a round-about all while maintaining a safe access point for residents still accessing their properties and cattle. Our Civil Construction crew laid over approx. 1200lm of pipes varying from 375mm to 1200mm. On completion of the Earthworks for this project the Civil Crew laid 12,000 tonne of road base followed by 6,000 tonne of Asphalt by our Asphalting Crew’s.
Jordan Springs
J&G Excavations & Asphalting were appointed to supply and lay asphalt to numerous stages of Jordan Springs.
Hawkesbury Race Club
J&G Excavations & Asphalting were appointed to supply and lay a specialty open graded asphalt mix to form part of the new pavement for the trial track.
